Uwe Stender

Uwe Stender has been teaching German at the University of Pittsburgh since 2006. Most recently, his focus in teaching has been on "Indo- European Folktales," "Germanic Myths, Legends, and Sagas," and "New German Cinema."

Outside of academia, Uwe is the Founder and President of Triada US Literary Agency. Most notably, Triada US represents NYT bestselling authors Olivie Blake (The Atlas Six), Chloe Gong (These Violent Delights) and Sayantani DasGupta (Kiranmala series), Newbery Honor winner Rajani LaRocca, actresses Melody Thomas Scott (Y&R) and Dana L. Davis, Reese Witherspoon selection Lauren Blackwood, Adiba Jaigirdar, CNN HLN and TruTV's Christi Paul, NPR's Eric Deggans, and 4-time Grammy Award winning composer Lalo Schifrin ("Mission Impossible").

On the film side, Uwe has been working with Amazon Studios, Disney+, and many production companies including Amblin, Bad Robot, and Royal Ties.
